SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler Print Enhancement

With SOLIDWORKS 2016 there have been a number of new enhancements and within the Task Scheduler you will see a few print enhancements. Now when you schedule a batch print job within Task Scheduler, you get many of the same settings that are available when printing direct from SOLIDWORKS.

One of the best enhancements is that you can now choose to use a document's saved printer settings for each task.

The Page Setup dialog provides all of the settings that you can modify with the exception of the Preview button and its functionality:

The important thing to remember is that when you select printer-specific settings in the Print dialog box, these same settings are used for all files in this print job.

Another alternative to specifying settings for all of the documents in this task, you can use the print settings that are saved in the original SOLIDWORKS document. To use these settings, just select Use Document Printer Settings and these settings will be used for this print task. Any documents that do not have saved settings will use the settings that you specify in the Task Scheduler Print dialog box.

So if you haven't had a chance to try this out in SOLIDWORKS 2016, go to your SOLIDWORKS 2016 program folder and under SOLIDWORKS Tools you will see this great utility!
